Artist’s Statement:

“Snow Day began as a simple walk.

After the blizzard moved through Rhode Island, I went out to document what was left behind. I wasn’t interested in the storm itself — only the aftermath. The way snow compresses sound. The way it reshapes geometry. The way it forces stillness onto spaces designed for motion.

Familiar streets felt suspended in time. Cars became sculptures. Footprints became gestures. The landscape felt both fragile and monumental.

This project is about interruption — and the strange beauty that appears when routine is paused.”
